X-Ray (Radiology) − Fayetteville, Atlanta, and Griffin GA
Our practice utilizes digital radiography. This allows us to capture maximum image quality and minimum radiation to the patient.
Less Radiation — Digital radiography exposes dental patients to much less radiation. In fact, digital X-rays use up to 90 percent less radiation than film X-rays. While conventional dental X-rays are relatively safe, digital radiography is an excellent option for those who take X-rays on a regular basis or for those who are concerned about radiation
Higher Quality Images — The standard size of traditional X-rays can make viewing difficult, but digital radiography has done away with the “one size fits all” mentality. Once on the screen, digital X-rays can be enlarged or magnified for a better visual of the tooth’s structure. Brightness, contrast and color can also be adjusted, allowing your dentist to see small cavities easier. If you need a hard copy of your X-ray, digital images can also be printed out.
Our practice utilizes state-of-the-art, full-cranial cone-beam CT (computed tomography) technology that provides highly accurate 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning and treatment of oral surgery, orthodontics, dental implants, and other dental procedures. Three-dimensional images enable a level of anatomical accuracy and patient care not possible with 2-D technologies. With the addition of cone-beam CT technology in our office, our practice is committed to providing innovative, high-quality, patient care. CAD-CAM technology with utilization of CT scanning allows precision implant placement with minimally invasive surgery.
Our practice utilizes digital technology to scan your mouth. We can take a picture of your dental implant and coordinate with your dentist to have your new crown manufactured and ready by the time you see your dentist. NO IMPRESSION technology alleviates the need of a standard dental impression with all the messy gel and patient gagging. Appointment times with your dentist will now be quicker with “cloud” based technology and tele-dentistry. With the CS 3500 intraoral scanner, our practice can easily acquire precise true color, 2D and 3D digital impressions.
